Louise Asp

Louise Kahle Asp, 94, formally of Pittsfield, passed away Thursday March 22, 2018 at the Rouse Warren Co. Home.

She was born January 1, 1924 in Sergeant, Pa., a daughter to the late Lester and Esther (Johnson) Kahle. Louise was a long time member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday and Bible School teacher. She was also very active in several church organizations, including mission trips to Redbird Mission and Haiti. Louise enjoyed travels with her husband Harold to Europe, out West, and their winter visits with their Florida family. Her home and her flowers were a source of pride and joy, but she was especially proud of her family. She was always looking forward to family gatherings. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren always brought her joy.

Louise is survived by her children, John (Susan) Asp of Allentown, Pa., Denice (Tim) Bleech of Warren, Ruth Reither of Greenville, Pa., a daughter in law, Oke Asp, of Riverview, a daughter in law, Martha Asp Lobdell of Clarendon, her sisters Patricia Bostaph of Buffalo, N.Y. and Peggy Phillips of Erie, her grandchildren, Harold K. Asp Jr., Timothy (Kristen) Bleech, Briana (Stephen) Kish, Kale Asp, Molly (Ryan) Davis Ben (Amber) Reither, her great grandchildren, Chancey, Amber, Alexis and Cameron Asp, Patrick, Peyton, RJ and Avery Davis, Noah and Stella Bleech, Annalise and Aspen Kish, 3 great greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold S. Asp, 2 sons, Harold K. Asp and Daniel Asp, 2 grandsons, Timothy Kahle Asp and Kevin C. Bleech, a son in law, Ronald Reither and 2 sisters, Ruby and Evelyn Kahle.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 47 pm at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 258 Dalrymple St. in Pittsfield, and for an hour prior to a funeral service that will be held there on Monday at 11 am, with the Rev. Nate Fugate, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Warren Co. Memorial Park.
