Janet Day

Janet Louise Day, 82, of Warren, passed away at her daughter’s home in Edinboro, on Monday, February 5. Janet was born October 17, 1935, in Warren, PA. She is the daughter of the late James and Edna Lauffenberger.

Janet was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School. She was a homemaker and housewife, and worked at Deluxe Metal as a secretary for a brief time. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She is survived by one son, Tim Day, of Warren; twin daughters, Denise Rougeux and her husband Russ, of Unity, WI, and Debbie Murray and her husband Calvin, of Warren, Karen Babcock and her husband Ryan, of Baltimore, MD, and Cynthia Hultberg, and her husband Kevin, of Edinboro, PA; two sisters, Carol Moldovan, of Sheffield, and Patricia Shack, of Sparta, NJ; grandchildren, Taylor Day, Randy Rougeux, Brian Rougeux and wife Angie, Brenda Kuntz, and husband Andy, Jessica Berchtold, and husband and Mark, Ali Hultberg, Amelia Richter, and husband, Nick, Libby, Mallory and Ben Hammond; great-grandchildren, Lainey Babcock, Joshua Kuntz, Juliana Richter and Ava Richter; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death on May 25, 2016, by her husband, Donald P. Day, whom she married September 21, 1957; and her son, Kevin Day; and her stepfather, Willard Timmis.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, February 8, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a memorial service will be held there with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, First Lutheran Church, officiating.
