Glenn Turk

Glenn E. Turk, of Warren, passed away on January 3, 2018, surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

Glenn was born November 21, 1938, to the late Robert Lee and Viola Turk.

He was proud of his service in the United States Air Force, serving “4 years, 3 months and 13 days.” Following the service, Glenn worked at the National Forge Company for 35 years, retiring in 2000.

Glenn proudly raised registered Charolais cattle and was a two time Pennsylvania Conservation Farmer of the Year award recipient. Glenn was an active member of the 4H Clubs of Warren County and a past president of the Warren County Fair Board.

Glenn is survived by his best friend and wife of 55 years, Carol Turk; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Melissa Turk, of Warren; daughter, Lisa Turk, of Pompano Beach, FL; granddaughter and great-granddaughter — Cayla and Alivia Hoffman, of Russell. Glenn is also survived by a brother, Gordon Turk, of Titusville; sisters, Jean Gray, of Deltona, FL, and Shirley Walker, of Cochranton, PA.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Warren; and brothers, Howard, Francis, Raymond, Charles, Bruce and Ken.

Per Glenn’s wishes no visitation or services will be observed. Memorials commemorating Glenn’s life may be made to Hessel Valley Lutheran Church of Chandler’s Valley or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
