New members of the Warren County School District Board of Education aren’t wasting any time taking action.

During the board’s most recent meeting, Kevin Lindvay was nominated as the temporary president and the new board members took oath before being seated at the board table. All nine board members were present. Taylor Trisket, secretary, read the legally elected and qualified board members. These are the Warren County Board of Elections certificate of election certifying, that after tabulating votes cast at the general election, held November 4, 2025, the following members have been duly elected: in Region 1 Paul Mangione with 2,263 votes and Bridget Schwab with 1,933 votes. In Region 2 Robert Cook with 2,666 votes and Region 3 Misty Moore with 2,322 votes.

Board President nominations were made for Paul Mangione and Robert Cook. After Cook was nominated, 2 board members made statements in regards to Cook of his qualifications. Attorney Jennifer Gornall of Gornall and Sennett PC reminded the board that while statements can be made, there are no obligations to answer, to which Cook did respond with, “I work for a decent size company, where I go through regulatory law all of the time. I know there’s a lot of regulations involved with everything here.” Snell shared that she felt electing a newcomer as president was setting them up for failure. Schwab pointed out that any president was new at some point and managed to gain experience. Lindvay offered that through his short six years, he is still learning. The five votes by Moore, Cook, Sullivan, Schwab and Holden to elect Mr. Cook as President passed.

Mr. Daniel Sullivan was elected as the Vice President of the board and then asked to add an item to this meeting’s agenda, mentioning that there had been notifications sent on November 19 for this matter. Gornall looked into the Sunshine Law about the stipulations involved for adding an item onto the agenda. With organizing the board, Sullivan wanted to move forward with hiring a new solicitor. He motioned to remove attorney Byam and appoint attorney Bauer as general solicitor, which would allow for a new and different perspective to help save money for the district.

The board then took a 40 minute break for an executive session resulting in the request for the matter to be future business for the committee.

Starting at $3.50/week.
