Tidioute Hometown Holidays is Dec. 3

Santa, caroling, the lighting of the tree.

Tidioute Hometown Holidays will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3.

The Holiday Lights Parade kicks off the event at 6 p.m. on Main Street, starting at the Presbyterian Church parking lot and extending to the boat launch. If it’s decorated for Christmas with lights, and it can be driven or pedaled, it’s eligible.

Santa will be available for visits at Picture Show Park.

“Enjoy a homemade doughnut and cup of hot cocoa, listen to a Christmas story, decorate an ornament, and color a picture for the coloring contest,” according to organizers.

Those who visit participating businesses will be able to fill up their game cards for a chance to win a prize.

The Tidioute Community Charter School choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. with Christmas carols around the tree in the park to follow.

The evening will end up with the lighting of the town tree.

Main Street, from the fire hall to Buckingham Street, will be closed from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the parade.
