34 new cases added to county total

There were 34 new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday in Warren County by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

There have now been 3,191 total cases in the county, 2,490 confirmed and 701 probables.

The total for the month is 356.

There were 39 new cases reported on Tuesday. A total of 73 cases over two consecutive days is the most since early January, when it happened three different times.

The county’s COVID death toll remains at 114.

The county’s seven-day rolling average of percent positivity has been over 20 twice in the past three days, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Like the rest of the state, the county remains in the high category of community transmission.

The number of fully vaccinated residents rose faster than the number receiving first doses according to the data released on Wednesday. There were 14,983 residents who were fully vaccinated – an increase of 33 – and 2,404 partially covered – a drop of six.

About 38 percent of the county population of 39,000 has been fully vaccinated and about 44 percent has received at least one dose.
