Robert L. Kridler

KANE — Robert L. “Tut” Kridler, 75, of 2890 Butts Road, Ashville, N.Y., passed away Saturday (July 3, 2021) at the Warren General Hospital.

Born Nov. 2, 1945, in Kane, he was a son of the late William and Martha Saff Kridler.

Tut attended Kane High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War reaching the rank of sergeant. He received the highest certificate from the Vietnamese government, that only three soldiers had ever received.

He had been a past member of the Jamestown Moose Lodge, War Vets Recreation also of James-town, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8647 in New York, American Legion Post 0777 in Celoron, N.Y., the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the Wildcat Park Association and the Ludlow Sportsman Club.

For many years he was employed as a machinist for Betts in Warren.

Tut enjoyed hunting, garage sales, coin collecting and playing for the Ludlow Wildcat Baseball Team. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving are a son, Bob and daughters: Connie and Jessica; granddaughters: Noel, Anna, Joy and Grace; two sisters: Darlene (Willi-am) Blauser and Esther (Gale) Pierson, both of Ludlow; a brother-in-law, Mick Bradish of Warren; a sister-in-law, Joan Griesbach of Erie; several nieces and nephews; and his close friends, the family of his late companion, Caroline Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Kridler: sisters: Marjorie Hulings, Judith Milford and Shirley Bradish; and his loving companion, Caroline Brown.

Friends will be received Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where fun-eral services, with the Rev. David Pflieger officiating, will follow at noon.

Burial will be in Gibbs Hill Cemetery.
