COVID-19 patients at WGH remain low

For each of the last two days, there were three new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths reported in Warren County.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced 2,072 total cases on Monday and 2,075 total cases on Tuesday, with 1,707 confirmed and 368 probables.

The COVID-related death toll remains at 95.

The department announced Monday that its daily update would be delayed due to maintenance on its server. That update was released Monday evening.

The number of COVID-positive patients at Warren General Hospital remained low in Tuesday’s release.

There were three patients, none on ventilators, and none in intensive care.

The number of new cases during February has been dramatically lower than during the past two months.

In December, the county saw an average of almost 38 new cases daily. In January, that number was down to 17.6.

In the first nine days of February, there have been 54 new cases — or six new cases per day, on average.

There have only been four COVID-related deaths so far this month.

There were 25 deaths announced in December and 65 in January.
