Band exhibition is today
Strike up the bands.
The annual Warren County Marching Band Exhibition will be held at 7 p.m. today at War Memorial Field, with Knights, Eagles, and Dragons all performing.
“Each marching band will be performing their show under the lights for their fans and each other,” Warren County School District Superintendent Amy Stewart said.
This year’s exhibition is more important than ever for the students and their fans.
The bands have not had many occasions to perform this year due to COVID-19.
Competitions and other events have been canceled and the district has put restrictions on the bands’ ability to travel.
The annual event is typically held early in the season. This year, the schedule was changed because district officials did not know if spectators would be allowed at events early in the season.
Under the latest guidelines, district officials expect to be able to have all three bands and their fans inside the stadium throughout.
Seniors will be recognized “for their many dedicated years of hard work in their respective marching bands,” Stewart said.
There is no admission charge.
