3 more positive for COVID-19; county tops 100 cases per 100,000

There were three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 announced in Warren County on Wednesday.

Added to the one announced over the Labor Day weekend, that brings the county’s total to 40 – 31 confirmed cases and nine probable.

Three new cases in a day is the most for the county so far and has been reached three times before – first on Aug. 21 then back-to-back on Sept. 1 and 2.

Wednesday’s cases brought the county above the 100 cases per 100,000 population threshold. Warren County had been the last in the state below 100. As of Wednesday, the county is at 101.3 per 100,000.

The next threshold in the Department of Health reporting is 500 cases per 100,000.

Philadelphia County is approaching 2,000. On Wednesday, there had been 1,896.3 cases per 100,000 there.
