Clarendon man charged for contact with 8-year-old girl

A Clarendon man faces charges for allegedly having repeated sexual contact with a girl under 8 years old.

Carter T. Bean, 20, of Clarendon, faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault — person less than 13; four counts of indecent assault — person less than 13; and corruption of minors.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, following an initial report on April 14, the alleged victim was interviewed at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center.

She said Bean had touched her, skin-to-skin, under her pants, three different times between May and November of 2019 in Glade Township.

Pennsylvania State Police interviewed Bean on April 21, saying he “appeared to be fully honest” in the interview, according to the affidavit.

Police said Bean “remembered only two occasions in which he had touched the vagina of the victim” and that she “was not lying about her account of the incidents,” according to the affidavit. He told police he had also touched the victim’s buttocks and had tried to get her to touch his penis.

Bean was arraigned on April 21 before District Justice Laura Bauer and taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $50,000 bail.
