Police: Warren man confesses to rape charge

A Warren man has been charged with rape and, according to police, has confessed.

Kameron M.J. Osborne, 22, of Warren, is charged with rape — forcible compulsion; sexual assault; aggravated indecent assault — forcible compulsion; and indecent assault — forcible compulsion.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Osborne was in the home of a woman he knew at about 8:30 p.m. Monday and that the two argued.

Police said the victim reported that Osborne threw her on the bed, held her down, and raped her.

The victim reported kicking, pushing, hitting, and yelling at Osborne to get him to stop, according to the affidavit.

According to police, Osborne waived his right to remain silent and gave a statement to police later that evening.

“He stated that they began to argue… and he began to get upset,” police said. “He stated that he did throw her on the bed right after the argument and that he did rape her.”

He allegedly told police he held the victim down.

Police said Osborne told them he felt bad after and that he was “sorry.”

Osborne was arraigned Tuesday afternoon before District Justice Raymond Zydonik and taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $75,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.
