Pittsfield Twp.

One-vehicle collision. At 9:59 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, a 16-year-old male, of Pittsfield, was traveling northbound on State Route 27 when he attempted to negotiate a left turn allegedly at a speed too great for the conditions. The 16-year-old lost control of the vehicle, which traveled off the roadway and struck a guide rail on the east side of the roadway with the driver-side door. The vehicle came to a final rest facing northwest off of the roadway. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. The 16-year-old was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.

District Court – N. Warren Co.

Failure to verify address. John A. Snyder, 49, of Warren, was charged with two counts of failure to verify address/be photographed on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, by Warren City Police Department.

Possession. Brandon Mackensi Wilson, 28, of Akron, Ohio, was charged with manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; three counts of possession of controlled substance by person not regulated; and marijuana – small amount personal use on Wednesday, Jan. 1, by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Dec. 29 at 1:21 a.m.on Cobham Park Rd. south of Danden Ln. A 2010 Ford Fusion, driven by Nicholas R. Swanson, 21, Warren, was traveling south at an alleged high rate of speed and lost control going into a right-hand curve. The vehicle slid sideways across the northbound lane where it continued off the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree and then rotated and struck another tree approximately four feet off the ground and then overturned as it struck a third tree. Police say Swanson was partially ejected through the rear window but was trapped in the vehicle and freed via mechanical means by the Glade Township VFD. Police say Swanson was transported to EmergyCare to UPMC Hamot with injuries of unknown severity. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt and was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Zimmerman Hill Rd. east of Wilderness Park on Dec. 29 at 4 a.m. A 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Scott L. Anderson, 59, Warren, hit an oil lease road gate which caused disabling damage to the vehicle and rendered the gate not functional. Police noted that Anderson, who was uninjured, left the scene on foot but later contacted police to report the crash. Police say he was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.
