Five guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against one during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

¯ Thomas B. Barton, Warren, to theft by unlawful taking. Charges of theft property lost etc. by mistake and receiving stolen property were withdrawn.

¯ Karissa L. Beers, Tidioute, to possession of a controlled substance. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

¯ Matthew H. Bennett, Warren, to receiving stolen property. A count of receiving stolen property was withdrawn.

¯ Dylan J. Proctor, Warren, to marijuana – small amount personal use and driving without a license. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and duties at stop sign were withdrawn.

¯ Melinda R. Strait, Pittsfield, to marijuana – small amount personal use and exceed max speed limit established by 15 mph. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following:

¯ Tai E. Phan, Warren, had been charged with marijuana – small amount personal use. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
