PennDOT issues Glade Bridge lane restrictions

The Glade Bridge on Warren’s East End will be down to one lane for part of next week.

PennDOT has announced that the bridge will be milled during daylight hours starting Tuesday, Sept. 24. The work is expected to conclude in three days.

“During the restrictions, traffic will be controlled by flaggers,” Press Officer Jill Harry said. “Motorists are encouraged to seek outher routes during work hours, as traffic delays are anticipated.”

There will be more work on the bridge the following week, weather permitting.

According to PennDOT, a waterproof membrane will be place on the bridge and it will be repaved, starting Sept. 30.

“PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers,” Harry said in a release. “Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.”
