A Warren County woman is being treated for injuries sustained when she was shot early Wednesday in a Glade Township residence.

The man who allegedly shot her has been charged with aggravated assault.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Rodney L. Tomassoni, 48, of Warren, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in an occupied structure, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.

Police said the woman reported at 3:42 a.m. Wednesday that she had been shot accidentally by Tomassoni.

She was taken to UPMC Hamot for surgery, according to police. A condition update was not immediately available.

Tomassoni was arraigned before District Justice Laura Bauer and taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $50,000.
