No injuries in Monday’s Conewango Creek crash

Photo provided to the Post Journal by Glade Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. Glade VFD and State Police helped to pull an SUV that had become submerged in the Conewango Creek.

At 1:41 A.M. on Monday, Mar. 11, Samantha J. Graham was traveling south on Big Four Rd. when she came across icy road conditions, causing her vehicle turn clockwise and slide toward the west side of the road.

The front left corner of the vehicle then struck a tree, causing it to continue to rotate clockwise while pivoting on the tree.

Graham’s vehicle consequently slid backwards and over the edge of the bank on the west side of the road, which is a straight drop off into the Conewango Creek.

Graham’s vehicle came to rest under water in the Conewango Creek.

Graham and her passenger were both able to force open a door and exit the vehicle.

Neither Graham nor her passenger were injured in the accident.

Graham was charged with Driving Vehicle at a Safe Speed.
