Chili-out on Saturday at North Warren Volunteer Fire Dept.

It’s time for chili for life.

The fourth annual Relay for Life Chili Cook Off will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the North Warren Volunteer Fire Department on State Street.

A number of community chefs will be competing this year. They will, of course, be joined by Relay for Life teams.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. That admission provides with tickets that are used for tasting chili and voting for favorites.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life of Warren County.

A group of judges will select three winners based on taste. There will be a fourth champion — determined by popular vote. The cook with the most tasting tickets will win that award.

Brokenstraw Valley Winery will be providing a wine tasting during the event.

Some chili teams will offer additional foods and other items related to Relay for Life for purchase.

This year’s Relay will be held June 14 and 15.
