Girard man takes the wrong truck allegedly

A Girard man wound up behind bars Saturday after he allegedly left a bar in someone else’s truck and left that someone else at the bar.

Joshua D. Blair, 30, of Girard left The Bucket Bar in Sugar Grove Saturday at approximately 2:30 a.m. in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, according to state police at the Warren barracks. The truck is owned by a 51-year-old Sugar Grove man, who remained at the bar.

Blair drove the truck west on Route 957. He drifted across the eastbound lane into a ditch, continued for approximately 180 feet along the ditch and got stuck, police report.

Blair was charged with a third-degree felony count of theft by unlawful taking, two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence for general impairment and highest rate of blood alcohol, a second-degree misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and two summary traffic violations.

He was committed to the Warren County jail Saturday in lieu of $5,000 monetary bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 30 before Magisterial District Judge Raymond Zydonik.
