IA Construction needs only one more day to finish the City of Warren’s paving job.

The trouble could be finding that day.

The work depends on weather conditions and snow and cold are not acceptable.

According to Department of Public Works Director Mike Holtz, three of the nine blocks in the job have been completed.

The scratch coat — or base coat — for the other six has been put down. That leaves only the top coat — finish coat.

Holtz said the company can put top coats on those six remaining streets in one day.

He said the company is hopeful that Thursday could be that day.
