WarrenGives meeting in Youngsville

Monday, February 27th at 6:00 pm, a 2017 Warren Gives online day of giving meeting will be held at the Youngsville Library. This meeting is sponsored by the Community Foundation of Warren County and is open to representatives from any of the organizations that participate in the Annual Warren Gives Event. The meeting should last around 45 minutes and will include (a) a 2016 event recap, (b) what’s new for 2017, (c) important dates for organizations to know, and (d) share ideas on how to increase Your Organization’s participation numbers.

The Community Foundation of Warren County will be holding additional meetings this year -in an effort to make it as easy as possible for representatives from the organizations listed on Warren Gives to attend. Organizations who attend a preliminary Warren Gives meeting find them very beneficial and tend to do well on event day.

There will also be a meeting on Saturday, February 25th at the Warren Library from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the Slater Room. More meeting dates will be in the paper. The 2017 Warren Gives online day of giving event will be Wednesday, May 17th from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Go to WarrenGives.org for more information.

Valley Bowling helps Youngsville Public Library

Youngsville Public Library’s 7th Annual “Love Your Library” Raffle tickets are available at Valley Bowling now through Monday, February 28th. Detailed descriptions for each “gift-card” themed ‘basket’, valued at $100 each, will also on display at Valley Bowling.

“From the very first year that we started this fundraiser, the Johnson Family has supported our annual raffle basket efforts by encouraging us to display our themed-‘baskets’ at Valley Bowling for a week with the idea that more members of the community can see these great baskets and help YPL,” stated Library Director Kristy Wallace. “If people can’t make it to the library during our regular business hours they have an opportunity to stop by Valley Bowling instead. We are so appreciative and grateful that the Johnson’s are so community minded. Not only do they host our fundraiser event and contribute to our K-12 Summer Super Reader program, they also make it a point to host at least one bowling charity event each year as well.”
