Four injured after vehicle strikes tree on Route 957

Four individuals were taken to Warren General Hospital early Saturday after a vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 957 went off the road and struck a pair of trees.

Pennsylvania State Police in Warren report the accident occurred in Pine Grove Township around 2:15 a.m. They say the driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old male from Sugar Grove, fell asleep and went off the south side of the road into a ditch before hitting the trees.

Other passengers in the vehicle included a 16-year-old male from Sugar Grove, a 17-year-old male from Russell and 47-year-old William Saunders of Sugar Grove.

Police were assisted at the scene by EmergyCare, Russell Volunteer Fire Department, Kiantone Volunteer Fire Department, Youngsville Police, the Warren County District Attorney’s office and Koebley’s Towing.
