Cases handled at preliminary hearings

Three guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against five during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

¯ Brandon J. Albaugh, Youngsville, to disorderly conduct. A count of simple assault was withdrawn.

¯ Jeffery R. Huling, Erie, to marijuana — small amount personal use. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

¯ Ernest H. Wegg, Warren, to possession of a controlled substance. Three counts of possession with intent to deliver and two counts of criminal use of a communications facility were withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following:

¯ Nathaniel R. Acklin, Russell. Acklin had been charged with two counts of DUI and minor prohibited from operating with alcohol. A count of purchase, etc. alcoholic beverage by a minor was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense while a count of no rear light was re-categorized as a traffic offense.

¯ Molly K. Cook, Jamestown, NY. Cook had been charged with retail theft. A count of retail theft was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Scott W. Mack, Erie. Mack had been charged with open lewdness. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Richard P. Nuhfer, Irvine. Nuhfer had been charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Charges of criminal trespass and criminal mischief were re-categorized as non-traffic offenses.

¯ Rayne M. Watters, Tidioute. Watters had been charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

A count of retail theft was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
