DUI. Louis M. Hays, 19, Pittsfield, was charged by Conewango Township police on June 16 with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: High rate of alcohol — first offense, driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked and no headlights from an incident that occurred on June 12 in Conewango Twp.

Pine Grove Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police reported that sometime between June 11 and June 14 someone broke into the garage of a 59-year-old, N. Main St., Russell. Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Pleasant Twp.

Theft by deception. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police responded to the residence of an 82-year-old, Wildlife Ln. resident after the resident reported being the victim of a $6,000 scam. Upon further investigation, police say that the victim was instructed to purchase $6,000 in gift cards and provide the gift card number and pin number to the suspect by telephone in order to update his Microsoft computer. Police wish to remind residents never to purchase gift cards and give the information to someone you do not know.
