L.E.A.D is an up-to-date Nationwide program that has been tested, proven and effective. It is the most rapidly growing drug and violence prevention program in the U.S., with certified Instructors in 28 States and the District of Columbia. With more than 2,000 L.E.A.D Instructors (police officers and teachers) nationwide, the program addresses what matters — drugs, bullying, and violence.

Officers certified in the program recognize the importance of collaboration with educators, and are the first and last line of defense in a critical incident at a school. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies are also NASRO (National Association of School Resource Officers) certified.

L.E.A.D offers more than 20 evidence-based curricula, each individualized to ensure school districts can decide which curricula, and at what grade level is most appropriate for their community.

All curricula are developed by full-time prevention specialists who continually update and revise curricula within international standards to maintain evidence-based status. L.E.A.D. also utilizes social and emotional learning to work through fun and interactive lessons, building the self-confidence young people need to make healthy choices and achieve success.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has been working in collaboration with Warren County School District, Warren City Police Department, and Warren County Adult Probation Department to effectively implement the L.E.A.D. program into the Warren County Schools, Tidioute Charter School, and Warren County Christian School beginning January 2020.
