One pleads guilty at prelims

One defendant pled guilty, charges were withdrawn against three, and one was held for court during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

Dakota S. Morris, Youngsville, pled guilty to marijuana – small amount personal use. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following.

¯ John S. Kostkas, Warren. He had been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of disorderly conduct – hazardous/physical offense was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Richard A. Perry, Jr., Russell. He had been charged with terroristic threats, harassment – communication lewd, threatening, etc. language, operating privileges suspended/revoked, DUI: Gen impairment/incapable of safe driving – third offense and DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – third offense.

¯ Matthew J. Porter, Warren. Porter had been charged with theft by unlawful taking – movable property and receiving stolen property.

Karly S. Sorenson, Warren, was held for court. Sorenson faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and disorderly conduct – engage in fighting.
