One held for court, 3 plead guilty at prelims

One defendant was held for court, three pled guilty and charges were withdrawn against two others during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday.

Michael Wayne Herbert Vanderhoof, Warren, was held for court. He has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault – without consent of other.

The following defendants pled guilty:

¯ Mitchell Paul Kist, Tidioute, to possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving an unregistered vehicle were withdrawn.

¯ Samantha Mealynn Eck, Warren, to possession of drug paraphernalia. Nine additional counts of possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn.

¯ Johnathan Allen Davis, Warren, to theft by unlawful taking – movable property. A count of theft by unlawful taking – movable property was withdrawn. At a second docket, he pled guilty to theft by deception – false impression. A count of receiving stolen property was withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following:

¯ Charges of theft by deception -false impression and receiving stolen property were withdrawn against Elvina T. Mapalo, Jamestown, NY. A count of driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked was recategorized as a traffic offense while a count of retail theft – take merchandise was recategorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Charges of conspiracy (theft by deception – false impression) and defiant trespass were withdrawn against Kimberlee L. Chapman, Celeron, NY. Charges of retail theft – take merchandise and defiant trespass were recategorized as non-traffic offenses.
