A Sugar Grove man faces felony assault charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Friday.

Shawn T. Moore, 28, of Sugar Grove, was charged with aggravated assault, a felony of the third degree, as well as misdemeanor and summary charges of simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment after police were called to Lanning Hill Road near Wilson road for an alleged assault.

According to the affidavit, police interviewed the victim at the scene, who related that Moore struck her multiple times with a baseball bat. The victim indicated that she had multiple injuries resulting from the altercation, including a cuts above her knee and on the top of her head, and bump on the back of her head.

Moore’s victim also told police that Moore threatened to harm her if she took their child from his residence even though, the victim told police, Moore does not have visitation rights with their child.

Moore is being held in the Warren County Jail on $15,000 bail.
