2 enter guilty pleas at prelims
Two defendants entered guilty pleas and charges were withdrawn against another during preliminary hearings held this week before District Justice Todd Woodin.
The following pled guilty:
Zachary Francis McLaughlin, Youngsville, to possession of drug paraphernalia, having an improper muffler, exceeding 55 mph by 16 mph and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection. A count of marijuana – small amount personal use was withdrawn;
James Michael Williams, Tidioute, to possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of marijuana – small amount personal use was withdrawn.
A count of misdemeanor retail theft was withdrawn against Ian Nathaniel Rigg, Russell. A summary count of retail theft was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.
