Times Observer photo by Stacey Gross A two-vehicle crash on Route 62 just south of Big Joe’s backed northbound traffic up Friday night and called out Conewango Township police, City of Warren fire and ambulance, Pleasant Township VFD, North Warren VFD, and Emergycare. The crash caused the northbound lanes of Route 62 to be temporarily closed from Seventh Avenue in Warren to South State Street in North Warren, with northbound traffic rerouted back into the city.

Mead Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Friday, March 10, at approximately 10:47 a.m., John J. Kimball, 58, of Duke Center, Pa., was traveling east on Kinzua Road just east of the Kinzua Dam in a 2007 Dodge 1500 when, upon exiting a left curve, he lost control of the vehicle and it hit a traffic sign on the north edge of the roadway. Kimball’s vehicle then hit an embankment, according to police, coming to final rest on the north edge of the roadway. Police reported that Kimball received a minor injury but was not transported for treatment, and that he was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Pleasant Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Friday, March 10, at approximately 7:08 a.m., Tiffany M. Warner, 30, of Warren, was traveling south on Mohawk Avenue in a 2001 Ford F30 exiting a right curve just past Elk Road when she lost control of the vehicle and hit an embankment. The vehicle then spun counterclockwise and hit the same embankment, police said, before overturning and coming to rest on the driver side of the vehicle facing north in the northbound lane. Joseph Letendre, 31, of Clarendon, and a five-month-old passenger were uninjured, police said, and Warner was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Indecent Assault. Warren-based state police reported they are investigating an incident from January of this year in which one juvenile is alleged to have inappropriately touched another juvenile.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Wednesday, March 8, at approximately 7:07 a.m., Steven D. Gray, 34, of Pittsfield, was traveling north on Page Hollow Road just past the intersection with Hazeltine Valley Road in a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero when he applied the brakes at the crest of a hill to stop for a vehicle ahead of him. Police said that Gray lost control of his vehicle and it slid off the road, hitting an embankment and flipping the vehicle onto its roof. Gray was wearing his seat belt, police said, and sustained minor injuries. Police reported that Gray was not transported for treatment, but that Sugar Grove VFD assisted at the scene. The vehicle, police said, was towed.

Youngsville

Assault. According to Youngsville Police, charges have been filed with Juvenile Probation against a sixteen-year-old female following a March 7 assault during which police said the juvenile shoved, punched, and choked a thirteen-year-old at Youngsville High School.

Jefferson County

Crash. According to Marienville-based state police, on Friday, March 10, at approximately 5:42 p.m., Jessica M. Jameson, 20, of Youngsville, was traveling north on Route 36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County, in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer when she lost control on the snow and ice covered roads. Police said that Jameson’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and became disabled from impact with an embankment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
