Blood drive is

April 6

Community Blood Bank will hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Warren General Hospital. “Blood donations are needed every day to maintain a safe and stable blood supply in our community,” Community Relations Specialist Erika DePalma said. “Each blood donation collected at Community Blood Bank has the ability to save up to three lives and impact local friends, families, and neighbors.” All blood types are needed, especially types O-negative and O-positive. Appointments are not required, but are recommended and may be made by calling (814) 456-4206.

Outdoor club to hike Sunday

On Sunday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike around the Chapman Dam reservoir. The hike will be 3 to 4 miles. Meet at the boat launch on the right hand side of the lake at 2 p.m. Linda Ross will be the leader and can be reached at 814-726-3920 or 814-688-5908 with any questions.

Daddy daughter dance is April 15

Warren Area Student Union is holding its second annual Daddy Daughter Dance from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15. The event is not limited to fathers. Grandfathers, uncles, and others are welcome. There will be door prizes and a visit from the Enchanted Fairytale Troupe. The cost is $20 for a daddy and daughter and $5 for each additional daughter. Tickets are only available presale between 3:30 and 6 p.m. through April 14 at WASU, 330 Hickory St., Warren.

WGH Auxiliary luncheon is May 4
