TUESDAY
The annual Youngsville High School summer luncheon for graduates 50 years or older will be held Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Youngsville Fire Hall.
The guests of honor is the class of 1971 with host classes, 1969 and 1970. Attending alumni are asked to bring a dish to pass. Sandwiches, cake, beverages, and table service will be provided.
Welcome YHS graduating classes of 1971 and before, along with guest and past teachers. Bring memorabilia items to share.

JOB WORKSHOPS
On Wednesday, Rebecca Whitney will hold three separate career development workshops at the Youngsville Public Library.
The first workshop is from noon to 1 p.m. and is an open, walk-in question-and-answer session. Those attending can ask personalized questions regarding job searches, PA CareerLink, free job training opportunities, and more. No registration is needed.
From 1 to 2 p.m., Whitney will discuss SkillUP PA during an in-person session. Walk-ins are welcome. SkillUP PA provides access to more than 6,000 free, online skills training courses to help prepare for a new career path, enhance an existing skill-set, and more. Stop in to receive one-on-one assistance on how to sign-up for, navigate and utilize SkillUP PA.
Whitney will also lead a resume workshop from 2 to 3 p.m. The workshop is available for in-person, virtual or by-phone attendance; registration is required by calling Whitney at 814-853-5141 or emailing Rebecca.Whitney@NWPACareerLink.org. PLANTS AND
POLLINATORS
PROGRAM
A three-part summer program starting Tuesday will provide hands-on learning about plants and their pollinator friends.
The program is targeted for those between the ages of 5 and 18 but all are welcome. The Youngsville Public Library is partnering with Warren County 4-H and will present the plants and pollinators program at the main pavilion at Island Park from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday July 19, July 26, and Aug. 2.
The program is free and no registration required. Programming is held rain or shine. Those attending do not have to attend each of the three programs offered in tghe series.
Each program features: nature stories, plants and pollinators facts, craft, a free snack and take-home activities. For more information visit YoungsvilleLibrary.org.

Free City of Warren Music in the Park at 7 p.m. Fridays at Soldiers & Sailors Park will feature “Temple Grey performing soft rock on July 15 and Smokehouse performing classic rock on July 22.
Free Youngsville Music in the Park on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at Island Park will feature Backlog on July 21 and Aaron Reinard. The Island Park Summer Music Series is presented by Youngsville Recreation.
FUNDRAISING
Youngsville’s Sons of the American Legion is having a chicken barbecue today from noon until sold out. The barbecue is at the Youngsville American Legion, 10 N. Main St. and costs $12 per meal.
Friday, July 22, and Saturday, July 23, the Youngsville Sports Boosters will host its Sports Boosters Jubilee at the Youngsville Fire Hall. There will be a cornhole tournament, duck derby, food vendors, and live entertainment. There will also be a children’s carnival and parade on July 23 starting at 3 p.m.
WARREN MAJENGO GOLF
TOURNAMENT
The local, non-profit organization Warren Majengo Foundation will hold its second annual golf tournament on Sunday, July 17, after a successful first year in 2021. The organization’s mission is “to provide stability, security, and support for the Majengo Children’s Home and other worthy educational, economic development, and philanthropic causes in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania.” Majengo provides support to more than 200 children in the Tanzanian community.
The second annual tournament will be held at Conewango Valley Country Club on Sunday, July 17. Tickets are $80 per person and includes green fees (four-person scramble), cart, lunch, beverages, dinner and prize money.
