Photo submitted to Times Observer Spending time around a fire gave community members at the Tidioute Heart and Soul event a chance to talk about what they love about their community, what they hope to see from it in the future, and how to reach those goals.

The Community Heart and Soul program kicked off its first of four events in Tidioute.

The event brought people together at the Tidioute Ballfield. They gathered around a fire, ate, and joined in yard games.

It was about making a connection with the community.

“These events will provide a platform for members of the community to come together and discover as a group what they love about their community, what future they want for it, and how to achieve it,” according to a release. “Members of the community and surrounding townships can identify and honor the unique character of their town and the emotional connection of the people who live there.”

Information about the Tidioute Heart and Soul program and its future events can be found on the group’s Facebook page.
