Korchack receives Warren DAR scholarship
Tessa Korchak of East Forest High School was the first-place winner of a scholarship from the General Joseph Warren Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Runner-up was Naomi Hahn of Warren Area High School.
The DAR Chapter in coordination with the Warren Suffragette Centennial Group sponsored the 2020 American History Essay Contest that was open to all seniors in Warren and Forest Counties.
The essay contest was part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. With a theme for the essay of “The Campaign for the 19th Amendment” students could submit a short essay recognizing this significant historical event.
