The Wilder Museum’s annual chicken BBQ

Photo submitted to Times Observer Musicians perform in the pavilion while guests enjoy the “Best Chicken BBQ You Will Ever Have!”

The Wilder Museum is making this a historically delicious summer with the “Best Chicken BBQ You Will Ever Have!” on Thursday, July 11, 5-7 p.m.

Enjoy a hearty meal while sitting amongst friends, new and old, as the sounds of live music and the heavenly aroma of barbecue waft through the air.

Chicken, macaroni salad, beans, and a roll are included in the filling summertime dinner. Drinks and desserts are available at an additional cost. The mouthwatering BBQ chicken dinners are also available in take-out. Enjoy great entertainment by local musicians as you feast. A 50/50 raffle will add to the fun with a 7p.m. drawing.

When you’ve finished your meal, take a stroll through the Wilder Museum’s 17 unique exhibit rooms featuring the Civilian Conservation Corps, railroad, military, agriculture, the Seneca, the Irvine-Newbold Estate, local oil industry, and much more! Many changes and improvements have happened since last summer (including the new Gift Shop & Art Gallery!), so it is definitely worth the venture while the museum is open to the public from 5 to 8 p.m. that night.

Purchase tickets for this fundraiser at the Wilder Museum, the Warren County Historical Society (210 Fourth Avenue, Warren), or they may be ordered online at www.warrenhistory.org. The ticket price is $12 presale or $15 at the door. Dinners are limited, so buy your tickets early!

The Wilder Museum would like to thank Bob Evans, Sherry Burton of Hair Wizards, The Plaza, and Cline Adams for their generosity!

The Wilder Museum is located at 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine, PA, and is open for the season on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 1 to 5 PM and for many special events. For more up-to-date information please visit www.warrenhistory.org, call (814) 723-1795, or like the Wilder Museum on Facebook.
