Warren-Forest Pomona Grange meets

The Forest Grange placed first for its exhibit at the Warren County Fair, according to the recent meeting of Warren-Forest Pomona Grange presided over by Master Miranda Irons.

Other winners included Watson Junior Grange, second, and Watson Grange, third.

Craft project winners included:

Mini Juniors Kaleb Lindsay and Daxter Irons also received awards.

Other business included devotions by Kelly Van Ord, protem relating to school and the alphabet; approval of resolutions concerning the PA State Grange Contest and Program Guide, Requirements for Public Assistance and Nominations for State Grange Officers which will now be sent for action at the PA State Grange Session in Oct.; report on PA State Grange Youth Camp and Junior Camp with three local grangers — Maddy Warham, Gabby Lindsay and Braden Thomson attending; donations approved for two appeals — a Junior Granger from Big Knob Grange who was mauled by a pit bull and a grange in Green County damaged by a flood.

Reports were also received from the Auction, Snack Bar and Concession at the Fair chairpersons.

Nancy Eck from Forest was elected to a three-year term on the Executive Committee and Colleen Kosanovich also from Forest elected to a three-year term on the Finance Committee.
