Warren County Band Exhibition held

Sheffield hosted the annual Warren County Band Exhibition on Saturday on “The Mountain.”

The exhibition is an opportunity for local bands to share their hard work, determination, and artistry with each other. These programs have worked to maintain their status through the difficulty of declining enrollment, and continue to promote the arts for students.

Sheffield Area Middle High School Marching Band is under the direction of Sarah Korchak, Assistant Director Tammy Holden, and Guard Instructor Sarah Copley. The band is led by Section Leaders Christina Boll, Angel Bailey, Tessa Korchak, and Carter O’Donnell.

Theme: “Under Construction”

Songs: “9 to 5”, “Blue Collar Man”, “Hard Day’s Night”, and “Living on a Prayer.”

Eisenhower Knights Marching Band is under the direction of Mark Napolitan, Assistant Director Jennifer Hale, Color Guard Instructors Kiley Wiltsie and Megan Hitchcock, Percussion Instructor Kegan McCrea, and Drill Instructor Geoff Donovall. The band is led by Section Leaders Grace Larson and Amber Penley.

Theme: “Sonidos de Espana”

Songs: “Espana Cani”, “Habanera”, “Cappricio Espagnol” and “Cielo de Oro.”

Warren Area High School Dragon Marching Band is under the direction of Aaron Reinard, Assistant Director Judi Danielson, Instrumental Director Floyd Moore, and Guard Director Tiah Atkins. The band is led by Drum Major Emily Darts.

Theme: “It’s Magic”

Songs: “Magic”, “Harry Potter: The Music, Part 1”, and “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.”

Youngsville High School Marching Eagles is under the direction of Cynthia Scheid, Assistant Director and Percussion Instructor Don Hulihan, Percussion Instructor Anthony Schipani, Front Ensemble Instructor Ashley McKuhn, Assistant Front Ensemble Instructor Brandon Dickey, Color Guard Instructor Miranda Henry, and Assistant Instructor Kyle Henry. The band is led by Drum Major Lauryn Harshaw and Field Captain Elizabeth Lucks.

Theme: “A Celebration of Human Life”

Songs: “Triquetra” — Part 1: “Mind”, Part 2: “Soul”, Part 3: “Body.”
