Friday (8-18): ACC closed on Fridays

Congratulations to this week’s ACC Pinochle winners David Baker, Carolyn O’Donnell and JoAnn Greenawalt. Pinochle players are invited to join them on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. in the ACC dining room.

Remember to call the ACC at 723-4180 by 11:00 a.m. at least two days in advance to make your noon lunch reservations. A monthly meal calendar can be picked up at the center and meals can be reserved well in advance, just not less than 2 days in advance. The suggested reserved-meal donation for all those 60 and over is $3. All meals are well balanced and planned to provide maximum nutritional benefits.

ACC is open now Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ACC is closed on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather.

The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following lunch menu at various locations:

¯ Allegheny Community Center in Warren, August 14 thru August 17: Monday, chicken marsala, garlic and parmesan orzo, crinkle cut carrots, white bread, pineapple delight; Tuesday, cheeseburger w/lettuce & tomato, creamy potato soup, fresh fruit; Wednesday, baked ham slice w/fruit sauce, mashed potatoes w/chives, summer beet salad, wheat bread, chocolate pudding; Thursday, beef burrito w/meat & cheese, shredded lettuce & tomato, Spanish rice, corn & black bean salad, apricots; Friday, ACC closed.

¯ Marienville: Mon., Wed., & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule.

¯ Endeavor: Tues. & Wed. meals from the ACC lunch schedule and Friday meal of BBQ chicken, baked potato, lima beans, wheat bread, fresh fruit.

¯ Tidioute: Mon., Tuesday & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule.

¯ Sheffield: Mon. & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule & Fri. meal of BBQ chicken, baked potato, lima beans, wheat bread, fresh fruit.

Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested meal donation of $3. Call AAA at 723-3763 for info about congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change if necessary.
