WCHS presents awards to local high school graduates

The Warren County Historical Society is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 Warren County History Awards. Congratulations to this year’s recipients: Eisenhower High School graduate Hosanna Senz; Sheffield High School graduate Emily Grove; Tidioute Community Charter School graduate Amber Borland; Warren Area High School graduate Riley Zaffino; Warren County Christian School graduate Desirae Kerr; and Youngsville High School graduate James Cowan.

At a reception held on June 26th, awards were presented by Warren County Historical Society President Dr. Karen L. Black and Education Committee Chairperson Carol Barnickel. Every year students are selected from the graduating class of each of the county schools to be awarded a certificate of excellence, a monetary award, and a one-year membership to the Warren County Historical Society in recognition of their academic excellence in the study of history.

The Warren County Historical Society adheres to the mission of education by promoting Warren County history through a variety of outreach programs. This year the historical society is sponsoring a history camp for grades 4 through 8 operating from July 17th through the 21st. For more information, please visit www.warrenhistory.org.
