Homemade spaghetti & meatballs complete dinner is being served in the Allegheny Community Center dining room at 42 Clark Street, 2nd floor, on Sunday, December 8th from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Suggested donation is $8 per adult (including dessert).  No reservation is required.  Take-outs are available.  Proceeds benefit the ACC Auxiliary.  It’s a perfect way to celebrate the start of 2017!

The next AARP Smart Driver Full (8-hour) course is on Monday & Tuesday, January 23 & 24, 2017,  from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at ACC, 42 Clark Street.   Completion of the Smart Driver full course   qualifies you for a discount on your auto insurance for 3 years.  At that time, a 4-hour Refresher course can be completed qualifying you for the following 3 years.  Multiple drivers on an insurance plan may be required to complete these courses.  If it has been more than 3 years or you’ve never taken the course, you must take the Full 8-hour course.  Check with your insurance agent to be sure!  Instructor is Charles Merroth.  You can enroll now at 723-3237.

ACC is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  ACC is closed on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather.

The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following lunch menu at various locations:  Allegheny Community Center in Warren, 01/09 thru 01/13:  Monday, pepper steak w/peppers, onions & gravy, parsley noodles, baby carrots, applesauce; Tuesday, breaded chicken fillet sandwich, lettuce, tomato, homemade vegetable soup, crackers, pineapple tidbits & Mandarin oranges; Wednesday, oven roasted hot beef w/gravy, baked potato, sweet & sour coleslaw, gelatin w/sour cream topping; Thursday, potato crusted fish, macaroni & cheese, stewed tomatoes, fresh seasonal fruit; Friday, hot dog w/bun, whipped potatoes, sauerkraut, chocolate brownie: Marienville:  Mon., Wed., & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule;  Endeavor:  Tues., Wed., & Friday meals from the ACC lunch schedule; Tidioute:  Mon., Tuesday & Thurs. meals from the ACC lunch schedule; Sheffield: Mon., Thurs., & Fri. meals from the ACC lunch schedule.

Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested meal donation of $3.  Call AAA at 723-3763 for info about congregate meal sites or center locations.  Menu is subject to change if necessary.
