Together in music, together in life, together in love.

That’s what the Unity Music Experience is all about.

The Christian Music Festival, started by Alexandria Morris and her fiancee Abel Robinault, is something they hope will draw in the community, especially youth.

“It’s all about community, bringing people together. It’s a safe place for people to come together and have a good time,” said Morris.

This will be the Unity Music Experience’s second year. Morris said that 2016’s festival wasn’t a huge draw, even with two stages — one acoustic and one indoors, but she’s hoping to change that this year. To that end, Morris said, she’s having a craft show and concert on Jan. 28 at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church as a fundraiser.

The fundraising event, which will begin at 11 a.m., will feature vendors from around the area and music will start at 6 p.m. StillWaiting and The Flock will be playing the benefit concert, Morris said. And she’s still looking for vendors.

Anyone interested in signing up for a vendor spot can do so by calling Alexandria Morris at (814) 706-2055.

The date of the Christian Music Festival itself is not yet set, with last year’s festival — the inaugural festival — held in August.
