The Scouts learned the essentials of hiking, what to take with you, respect for the environment and other hikers, identifying animal tracks and scat, and got to see an awesome waterfall with their friends and families.

Santa in Starbrick on Saturday

The Starbrick VFD will be sending Santa through the Starbrick area on a fire truck on Saturday, Dec. 17 starting at 10 a.m. until the entire Starbrick area has been canvassed. Santa will be passing out candy canes, so come on out and keep an eye out for the man of the season.

Evening prayer

Holden Evening Prayer will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at First Lutheran Church, located at 109 W. 3rd Ave., Warren. This service is a long-time community event and will be held each Wednesday during the season of Advent.  All are welcome.

Caregivers’ Support Group meeting

The December meeting of the Caregivers’ Support Group will be held at noon on Monday, Dec. 19, with a tureen luncheon at the Grace United Methodist Church, Wesley Parlor, 501 PA Ave. E., Warren.  Beverages and table service will be provided.
