Storm damage results in extended power outage

Shelter set up at NWVFD

In response to damages from Sunday night’s storm, Penelec has cut power to an area of upper Conewango Avenue.

According to City of Warren Police Chief Brandon Deppen, that outage could last multiple days.

According to Penelec’s outage website, more than 500 customers in that area are affected by the outage. “Severe weather is causing power outages. Estimated restoration time will be provided when available.”

A shelter has been set up at North Warren Volunteer Fire Department on State Street for those impacted by this outage, Deppen said.
