Body Identified

According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, the body pulled from the Chadakoin River in Jamestown Tuesday afternoon has been positively identified as that of 35-year-old Sean Carpenter.

Carpenter, a native of Warren and 2001 graduate of Warren Area High School, went missing on April 11. A passerby found the body in the river on Tuesday, the Post-Journal reports, not far from Harrison Street around 1:40 p.m.

Captain Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown City Police Department said in a press release on Friday that no cause of death has been determined as of yet, but that it will be shared with the public when it is available.
