Dragons strong at Harbor Creek Invite

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Devon Navaroli had a fantastic performance for the Warren Dragons cross country team at the Harbor Creek Dirty Dawg Invitational on Saturday, finishing second out of 79 runners.

For the Warren girls, Shyann Rulander was impressive, taking an 11th place finish with a time of 21:32.26.

Graham Carr finished 11th and Brett Sowa 22nd for the boys, while Lauren Dolan was 27th in the girls race.

“We rested anyone who was battling even the slightest injury,” noted Warren coach Kevin Dusitn. “Devon has a great race in a kick to the finish. Good to see him going out strong and fighting for the win. Shyann really stepped up big for the girls with a big PR. We are looking forward to our home meet on Wednesday where our girls team has a chance to go undefeated this year and our boys to keep it at one loss on the season.”

The Dragons host Eisenhower and Harbor Creek on Wednesday.

For the junior high squads, Eliza Brook and Hailey Peterson led Warren to a second-place team finish with 5th and 6th place finishes, respectively. Hugh Harrison took sixth to pace the boys.
