Dragons beat RG for second win in as many days

ROCKY GROVE, Pa. – For the second time in just over a week’s time, Warren boys tennis blanked Rocky Grove.

The Dragons won 5-0 at the Orioles Wednesday to improve to 4-2 on the season. Warren revamped its lineup a bit for the second match with RG.

AJ Seyler was a straight set winner at first singles over Gavin Epsom, 6-1, 6-2. Seth Conarro and Stephen Ashbaugh blanked Noah Rodgers and Gavin Weber, 6-0, 6-0 at second and third, respectively.

“Our team’s depth is going to be a strength for us over the next few weeks,” Warren coach Travis Myler said.

In doubles action, the team of Aidan Colosimo and James Lawson topped Bitse/Wotjen, 6-1, 6-0, at first, while Max Harrison and Owen Peterson shutout Brown/Donovan, 6-0, 6-0.

“This team showed up ready to play and are always looking for ways to improve,” Warren associate coach Thomas Pellegrino said. “Our doubles teams are starting to see our philosophy pay dividends.”

The Dragons are back on the home court at Betts Park today when they host Harbor Creek.
