Youngsville volleyball falls to Port Allegany

Youngsville had a tough night on Monday, falling to Port Allegany in three, 15-25, 14-25, 12-25.

“We were a little flat and just had too many service errors tonight,” said Youngsville coach Barb Lutton.

Leading Youngsville were Amber Evans 11 service points, 2 aces, 8 assists; Taylor Walters 7 service points, 2 kills, 7 digs; Alyssa Molek 7 digs; and Maddie Uplinger 5 service points, 4 kills, 3 digs.

“Alyssa played a nice defensive game,” said Lutton of her Libero. “She plays her part very well.”

The JV team notched a victory in three, 25-27, 25-20, 15-12.

Kamryn Weissinger 10 service points, 6 digs, 3 kills; Mallory Sherrard 17 service points, 4 kills, 13 digs; Victoria Bull 7 service points, 3 kills, 8 digs and Jena Wilson 10 assists, 6 digs helped lead the victory charge.

“It was a great team effort,” said coach Vicky Straub.

The Lady Eagles are home again on Tuesday, hosting Union City.
