Warren X-C battles Corry, Seneca

Warren's Trenton Dippold and Graham Carr race during Tuesday's meet against Seneca and Corry.

Naomi Hahn, Kayla Giambrone and Brianne Ristau finished 1-3-5 for the Warren Area High School girls cross country team in their tri-meet with Corry and Seneca on Tuesday at the Warren State Hospital grounds.

Corry was strong in the middle, taking spots 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

For the boys, Nate Eadie led the Dragons with a third place finish in 19:21. Brock Smith and Will Strassburg of Seneca had a photo finish for first place (19:06 to 19:06.5).

The boys beat Corry and lost to Seneca, while the girls beat Seneca and fell to Corry.

“Times were off today due to a slightly longer course than usual. However, if you look at positioning and team scoring we didn’t have too bad a day,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin.

Warren's Naomi Hahn races to victory against Corry and Seneca on Tuesday at the Warren State Hospital grounds.

“We managed to split both the girls and the boys race with some pretty good efforts out there. We were looking to get some good work out of the races today and got it. I think we are getting a good picture of where the team is currently at and what we need to work on going forward. Overall, a good showing all around with a lot of good times to come.”

Graham Carr and Trenton Dippold went 5-6 for the Dragons.

Lauren Dolan and Audrey Smith finished second and third for Warren in the junior high girls race, while Grant Heeter finished third in the junior high boys race.
