Dragons blank Oil City, 10-0

OIL CITY, Pa. – Warren scored six first half goals and cruised to a 10-0 Region 6 win over Oil City on Tuesday.

Caleb Lindell had the first three for the Dragons, while Jake Funari and Colin Blair had two each. Griffin Suppa, Ryon Flatt and Tyler Gustafson also scored for the Dragons.

Flatt added two assists, while Beck Labesky, Blair, Wesley Kiehl, Suppa, Funari and Zane Anderson had one helper each.

Tommy Harrington and Alex Nebinski combined for the shutout in net in a game in which the Dragons were never challenged.

“I thought we possessed the ball really well and were able to try some different things,” said Warren coach Denny Flatt.

The Dragons entire roster got in on the fun, as everyone played in this one.

The game was called with six minutes left due to player misconduct for Oil City in which their keeper was given a red card.

The Oil City keeper will have to answer for what he’s done, as a red card means an automatic ban from the next game.

Warren, meanwhile, will now turn its attention to Meadville at home on Thursday.

In other Region 6 action, Slippery Rock knocked off Bradford, 4-1. SR is in sole possession of first place in the region at 3-0-1, while Bradford is 3-2 and Warren 2-1-1.

The game against Meadville will mark the end of the first half of the Region 6 schedule for the Dragons.
