Korbar tabbed as new football coach at Sheffield

The Warren County School District has hired the next Sheffield head football coach.

The school board formally approved appointing Christopher Korbar to the post as a result of action at the board’s Monday night’s meeting.

He will be paid $4,137 for the season, according to documentation provided to the school board.

Korbar has previously served as an assistant at Sheffield.

He takes the reins from Dave Fitch, who coached the program – which includes a co-op with juvneile treatment facility Abraxas in Marienville – for the last six years.

Sheffield went 0-10 last year.
